School Trip
Dave x Reader
[Name] POV
History has always been one of the greatest school courses, at least in your opinion. You loved learning about the past, it was so much more exciting than the present. Plus the fact that they take the history students on a school trip to Washington every year didn’t hurt either. This was your year to go on the trip and it was going to be awesome, you were in a room with your best-friend Jade, you get to see the country’s capital city (because you never have), AND you don’t have your parents breathing down your neck. NOPE nothing could get [First Name] [Last Name] down! “Honey are you all packed?” you hear your mother call from down the hallway. You give a deep sigh, “MOM I have been packed since last night! I told you this.” You hear your door creek open and turn to see her almost in tears. “I-it’s just that y-you have never been aw-way from home all alone before.” she stutters out. It hurt to see your mom so worried, “Aw Mom don’t cry, I’ll make sure to text you and Dad when I get there, Ok?” She picks you up in a hug, tears rolling down her cheeks. “I-I know you will [Name], you are a big strong in-independent woman.” You hug her back “I love you Mom” you say pushing back a few tears yourself. “Love you too, honey.”
After several minutes of painful lecturing from your Dad, you arrive at the school. “Oh, and one last thing,” your Father yells across the parking lot from the car, “don’t go, what’s the word you kids use now? ‘Hooking up’ with any boys on this trip!” Oh God everyone’s eyes darted to you as your face turned a shade of red that could make Rudolph’s nose jealous. You turn on your heels and ran to the side of the bus. “Hey [Name] over here!” you hear the familiar voice of Jade call out to you. She gives you a big hug, you were never to keen on the whole ‘hugging’ thing, but Jade was an exception. “Hey Jadey-Pie,” hugging her back, “ We gonna sit together on the bus?” She let’s you go turning her head to the side, “Actually….” She gives you an awkward smile “I was going to sit with Rose, hope you don’t mind.” It stung a bit, since not a lot of people liked you, but you push it off. “It’s all good, I’ll get by.” You smile, unsure if she knew you were faking it or not. Thankfully she didn’t catch on, “Oh thank God, I thought you would be mad.” Jade gives you one last hug before skipping off to find Rose.
You load the bus and sit in the seat at the very back, pulling out your book from your travel bag. It was a full bus, wonder who is brave enough to come sit with you.
Dave POV
Damn these chicks keep trying to pull you to their seats. What can you say, everyone wants a piece of the Strider. Still didn’t stop you from getting slightly creped out about the obsessive fan-girls. You need a way out of this, fast. Think Strider, think. That’s when you spotted [Name] sitting at the back by herself reading a book. Bingo. You walk over and sit down next to her. “Sorry ladies,” you say to the now slightly shocked crowd of girls, “kinda promised [Name] here that I would sit with her. Right [Name]?” ‘Come on, help a guy out.’
[Name] POV
The hell? You don’t remember getting a promise from Strider. When did this happen? Then you see the small group of girls crowding at his side, you were his get out of shit card. You nod to him, “Thanks for remembering.” You see him physically relax, but only slightly.
Dave POV
Wow you owed her one for this. You let the breath you were holding back pass and turn to see the girls sulk away. Turning back, you say to [Name] “Thanks for that, I owe you one.”
“Hell yeah you do.” She says nose back in her book. You almost smirk, almost.
You hardly knew the girl sitting next to you, just her name, which you got off of Rose. You study her from behind your shades, she seemed decent enough. You often see her in the halls, you have spoken here and there, and you think you share one or two classes. You also know not a lot of people hung out with her. Still she was pretty, and she just helped you out a ton, so she can’t be a bad person to chill with.
[Name] POV
You really didn’t know too much about Dave Strider. He was in your grade, Rose’s brother, one of the most popular guys at your school, and you have hung out two or three times. Other than that, nothing. A quick sideways glance allows you just enough time to evaluate him. He was good looking, you could admit that, and always kept a cool stern look on his face. You can’t say that you didn’t have a prick of a crush on him, but nothing major so it didn’t bother you that he hardly notices you. It’s not like you were the prettiest or the coolest person, so it really didn’t matter. The only thing you knew for certain about him sitting there. It’s gonna be a long trip.

You sighed as you wondered into your photography class. You really didnt like it, or rather, you didnt get it. You wanted to be in art again, but it was full this year and your older sister had instructed you to take this class instead since it was easy. She had been right, but you still didnt necessarily like the work.
You make your way to the back corner to the table with the broken chairs- no one ever sat

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Your alarm clock goes on for another 5 minutes before you get your lazy ass up and shut it off. "Great" you think, "another day of torture and ridicule." You hated school. You thought watching poorly acted Lifetime movies would be more entertaining. You quickly throw on your clothes and check your twitter really quick to see what your followers are up to. Well, nothing much except for the fact that your best friend landed herself a man! You remind yourself to congratulate her later. You scarf down some toast and grab a sweater as you run out the door.
~TIME SKIP BECAUSE I AM LAZY~
Finally! It's time for art class and

" Hell yeah you do." I laughed at that, mainly because it was something I would say.
